Four Defining Leadership Principles - Haas School of Business

All aspiring business undergrads must take the Principles of Business course, UGBA 10, before being applying to this esteemed program at the end of their sophomore year. This class is also open to students who do not wish to major in business administration but are curious to learn more about the foundations of business. In just one semester, UGBA 10 lets students explore their interests and potential career paths by introducing them to a variety of core functions of business: finance & accounting, marketing, operations & sustainability, and leadership. These four modules provide the fundamentals students need to succeed in the business world.

Since the spring of 2019, the Intro to Business game has complemented UGBA 10 by challenging students to apply theory to practice in a dynamic business case where they deal with uncertainty and ambiguity. With the elements of competition and peer assessment, students have to think critically and work effectively in a team environment in order to succeed. As a result, students leave the class with stronger business acumen and soft skills.

We are excited to continue supporting UGBA 10 professors in their mission to deliver world-class impact at speed and scale while decreasing their workload.
