Program Spotlight: Farmer School of Business

Many students wonder about the “real-world value” of the classes they take in their undergraduate education. The students in the First Year Integrated Curriculum (FYIC) at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business (FSB) don't have this worry, because they work on real client projects, do coding, and are just all around set up with the foundational skills needed to enter the “real world”, from the beginning of their journey.

Based on employer feedback from industry leaders, FSB found that the above are the six most important skills for students entering the workforce. First year students hone these skills throughout the FYIC program through hands-on learning experiences that include the Intro to Business Game and a real world project where they work in teams and solve a real client problem. We are excited to be helping the FYIC program deliver a fun learning experience that builds critical thinking, fosters collaboration, and promotes a feeling of connectedness in this virtual learning environment.
